Interactive Cooking Classes Perfect for small parties of 6 – 20 people, depending on the size of your kitchen. Our facilities are also available for this service, please inquire for more details.
- Prior to your class you will have a short consultation with our chef and we will assess how educational to make the cookies class. We will then send you a menu for the evening, cooking techniques to be taught, and the estimated cost.
- During your class we will come with some of the items pre prepared to help move the class smoothly. We will prepare 4 to 5 courses including dessert and you and your guests will help us. After a few hors d’oeuvres, and having dinner ready to plate, you and your guests will take a seat and be served the final 2 courses by our chef(s). After this they will clean your kitchen, leaving exactly as they found it.
- After the class each guests will receive a personal cookbook with all of the recipes used.
Prices will vary with ingredients needed and the size of the group. Each class will require one head chef (up to 10 guests) and one assistant (up to 20 guests). The final bill will be the total cost of ingredients purchased plus an hourly rate for each chef. Each chef will charge roughly 2 hours prior to arrival for grocery shopping and food preparation.
Sample Party: 16 guests
Menu: Tuna tartar, salmon or crab cakes with corn and chipotle aioli, marinated lamb pops with mint pea pesto and rosemary jus, brown butter mashed potatoes, butternut squash. For dessert – individual apple pie puff pastry with maple butter.
Techniques Taught: Storage, preparation, and history of handling “raw” sashimi grade fish, sauce making, what is an aioli, homemade pesto sauce and different variations, browned butter.
